coomera this morning
started fishing just before light. Plenty of bait getting busted up but fishing was a bit slow managed one small jack on a atomic shad until about 7 o,clock then things started happening changed to a 4" chartreuse power bait and couldn,t stop catching tarpon from under the pontoons and moored boats. some fish went 60cm. They are great fun on light tackle.Back to the ramp about 8.30 and called it a day. sorry no photos cameras broken.

Mate catching tarpon is indeed alot of fun. I bet you had a ball! Which stretch of the river were you fishing? And any particular reason as to why the tarpon were hanging around where you found em?

Sounds like a nice session. Those Tarpon sure are fun to catch - especially when they head for the sky! I guess the extra fresh from the recent rain has got them excited.
What colour shad did the Jack fall to - I managed one earlier this week in the Coomera on a 3 inch Blue Pearl Pepper shad?

1337: I'm not sure why they were there but i could only catch them under one pontoon there must have been something there because it was the only pontoon where i saw bream feeding too.
marty-z: I caught the jack on a 3" grey goast very lightly weighted.
jsy-bean: I was fishing just upstream from paradise point.
