PINE RIVER MUDDIES THURSDAY 5/1/06

Hi went to the pine yesterday to have another crab and thought i would take the rod along to my new crabing spot.

Dropped the pots in and then decided to threw the castnet around and get a few poddy mullet for live bait, hoping on getting a mangrove jack.

Gathered my bait and an hour went past pretty quick so it was time to go and check the pots.
First pot i got a keeper the second another nice buck third another one and the last pot i got one more could not believe it thought i would bag out for sure today.

Left the pots and went for a fish for an hour till it was time to check the pots again.
First livie lasted about 30 seconds dirty catfish i put on another and one more catty this continued for about the next five mullet just more and more cattys.

Time to check the pots again and I got one more keeper out of the four pots, back to the fishing and first bait i got a nice cod of about 45cm but let him go to fight another day it was a good change from the catfish.
After that guess what more catfish so i had one last check of the pots and first pot another keeper but the other three didn't have any keepers so i packed up and called it a day.

How did u get all the muddies to stay stillfor the pic matee?

hypnotised them with ice water maybe lol

Beatsworkin just put them in a ice slurry and that puts them to sleep for a long time.
