    Well decided to have a go in the logan it was a road trip as we live in caboolture, caught on ebull shark about 10 catfish all in all a good day out also one big bull shark the snapped the wire trace beside the boat

    yes it was a tuff I cut his tail of and bleed it and then got to fillets each side and took the skin off absoulty beatiful tast,e yum

    plenty of sharks in there fished that river for years ,nice shark though

    Just as a matter of interest, did you eat the catfishes also or did you throw them back in?

    Are the catfish the blue/grey fish tail variety??(no idea of the scientific name)
    My grandparents at Lake Cootharaba used to make a lovely fish cake out of the flesh from them years ago. I was onyl a young pike and didn't think they were too bad. More fun t catch than almost anything when you are a kid, fought like nothing else from what I rememeber. I caught one so big that I was afraid to take the hook out and dragged it all the way home for my Grandad to get it out. From memory I think it would have been about 60cm+ in today's money

    What sort of bait do you use for catties in the Logan? I found way back then that the smellier the better. Prawns left in the sun till almost black were best.
    Can you give me an approximate area of where you go? Land based/boat based.
