No longer a sp virgin!!

Hey guys,
Today I lost my sp virginity and am pretty bloody chuffed.
Nailed an undersized lizard drifting in the coomera. I know it sounds pretty ordinary but after 5 or so sp attempts with no result I was becoming disheartened. I also had a strong hookup big lizard i would say but as i was adjusting the drag i dropped him. Any way happy as apig in S##T.

I remember when i got my first on sp it was a 38cm flathead,i was yahooing and i swear nearly dancing the jig,lucky no one saw me ,they might of thought i was mad.

You got the first now they'll come thick and fast.

Congrats on losing your SP virginity. Once you get one on SP there is no turning back. Now you will spend every waking moment (except when you are fishing) scouring bait and tackle shops for your favourite SP's.

Funny,

My first fish on Sp's was a pike (Northern pike or musky) it went over 5kg so it was an very nice fish.

Caught it rather by accident.
Was bored on the bank, nothing was biting, had a look through the tacke bag and found some SP's I got years ago.

Re rigged.

Thrown it in.

Repeated the process a few times.

Was getting very "creative" with the retrieve and than...

Got hit by this massive fish.

Landed it, was stoked.

Caughet a few more undersize later.

Hey once you have been bitten by the sp bug, they spread very rapidly......all through your tackle box, your collection can never be big enough IMO.

I got my first taste on my birthday last year, armed with my new berkley dropshot and penn applause reel ( which I now know to be not my favourite), rigged with braid and a Sp I headed to the pin.
