Do any of you brissie guys know of any landbased spots that would produse for Squire? I would love to catch one and of course i dont have a boat so im quite limited. any help is appreciated... thanks.
the guys are catching them consistently from the sunken walls is the bris river on both sides... yes that's where they get them, these walls are all accessible from land although it's a bumpy old walk, did my apprenticeship this way as a kid
hey thanks lone_wolf
Where abouts do u park to get to walk the sunken wall? and is it accesible on a high tide?
I've been fishing around the area(luggage point) so ive got a brief idea of the area...
thanks
hey thanks for that...I have been there once...a while back but was raining i think and caught nuthin. Do u guys know what baits i should use? I was thinking about pilchards or mullet...i also fish with a lot of SPs so any advice on those with the squire?
thanks
Everything you need to know in terms of directions is here, the rest is experience.. 2 hours each side of the top, no weight, fish 2-3 metres from the rock wall you are sitting on, the freshest bait possible ie: fresh green prawn or yabby, soldier crabs are dynamite, fish heavy,at least 6-7kg to have a chance, DO NOT CAST DEEP UNLESS YOU LIKE VERMIN, note... spring tides may cut you off leaving the rock wall and you will have to wait until it drops to leave.
