    Brisbane River 14/2/06

Fished the sunken wall vicinity this morning from 3am till 9am. Trying to hook my first ever Brissy river jew but had no luck. Managed 2 Lizards, (50 and 55cm), 1 squire (45cm) and plenty of cod, catfish and bustups.

Was using live poddys, but the best fish fell victum to a SP on 4lb.

It seemed that the bigger the poddy mullet, the bigger the catfish.

Sorry no pics and weather was superb.

    Oh,

I would not recommend using the comsley ramp at dead low tide either.... Got into some bother early this morning.

    G-T,
Do you mind me asking where the sunken wall is? Is that where the new floating walkway/bike way runs past or is it more down near cameron's rocks?

The sunken wall is on the northside at Pinkenba, opposite Boat Passage

Out of interest, did your trailer fall of the end of the ramp.

I had big dramas there 1 day. Could not get trailer back onto the ramp as there is an easy 40cm drop at the end of it. trailer is 7 metres long so was too heave for us to pick up and lift. Had to find rocks and build up a path from the mud to the ramp. Do not use it much now unless the tides are right.

There is(or was) a yellow line painted on the pontoon that marks the edge of the ramp. It has got many people.

    Nabsy,

If you have a cast net there is a good bridge 200 m to the left(east) of Lomandra Drive, Kingsford Smith Dve(Pinkenba end) intersection
