    A day on the bay

After what seemed like forever, I managed to organise myself enough to get a days fishing in. And what a day I picked, the weather was sensational, the fishing was o.k the company great (fishing by myself ) Left Manly harbour at 5am and headed North looking for any surface activity but none to be found.

Motored back down to Mud and connected with my first ever spottie but at 50cm he had to go back
Spent the rest of the day cruising around the islands picking up the usual squire to 33cm >
All in all a bloody great day on the water and now I cant wait to find my little spotties bigger brothers and sisters.

    Cheers and Beers

was out there the same time and you did better than us ,we landed one nice flatty around peel island and heaps of small squire but thats it ,also went as far out as south end of moreton and didnt see any surface action at all.days like those on the bay are probably too good for the fishing.

Much the same story for me.

Did a bit of running around: Nudgee-Curtin-Tangalooma-Mud1-Mud2-Harry's-Mud3. A lot of ground covered for 1 dart and 1 Bream and 10 hours on the bay.

Perfect conditions and good company though, so can't complain. It's the same old story. I was out 3 weeks ago in pretty ordinary conditios, and had my best day's fishing since I got a boat I can explore the bay with.

Water temp was right up there, so where were the toothy mob?

    Good luck,
    Mike

Hi Mike, on days like yesterday I reckon fish are just a bounus.
Mickstar - I wasnt complaing thats for sure.
Warrior you could be right maybe the fish were at the beach or sunbaking
The spottie I got on a pille floated out the back NE of Mud.
