hey fellas hit the seaway early am today and she didnt dissapoint. ended up landing 8 jewies releasing 4 and 1 real solid gt around 3 kgs. all on liveys and flesh baits today current a bit too strong for the trans ams
the gt was kept for a cook island mate who recuns they are the best tasting fish in the sea when done raw?????:p good on him
Well done mate, I was out early sat am, but I drifted the south wall for just a squire. Did you anchor or drift? How far in from the point ? How much sinker if you dont mind me asking?
fished the end of the north wall and the only way to fish there is to drift too much current otherwise just sound around the se point of the wall to find the fish and use as much sinker as u need to keep your bait on the bottom. generally a 5 or 6 ball is heaps but if have to go bigger just use a longer trace as the jew can be a bit picky sometimes when they feel the weight of a sinker.
yeh fadil mate i fished from a boat prolly a little far off the wall to be landbased.
had plenty of luck on the trans ams there in the past but too much current there on saturday. the schoolies fell to tailor strips and live herring. the tailor seem to love the trans ams too specially the big ones that sit on the bottom [smiley=thumbsup.gif] surprisingly the tailor dont wreck the soft plastic body either
