With nearly a foot of rain in the old scale, falling accross the Townsville region over the past week or so, Aplins and Blacks weirs should be overflowing...According to the BoM river heights, Aplins is only over by a few cm and Blacks has been stuck at 0.10 below the weir for months.....
Got me beat.....the water has to be going somewhere

I fished from the rocks below the weir on Sat arvo but no go. Went back on Sunday just to have a look and the water was flowing a lot more than on Saturday. This should allow for some good fishing soon.
