    Re: Bribie Bridge

dobe,,, depends on what side of the bridge ya on,, mainland side is quite shallow at high tide, and even though you can pick up some fish the majority is vermin,, on the island side quite a bit of success on the southern side with the run up can be achieved, but again your subject to tide, current, fish!!,, etc etc,,

on the other hand, you drive past the ningi creek on your way to the bridge,, which is alive at the moment,, and you've got stacks of options on the island,,,

the loch is always worth a look,, buckley's hole,, the drop offs around banksia,, white patch,,and even out front of cornetts seems to be okay when the fish are on,, i drive over that bridge every day,, and never fail to see someone fishn from th middle of it,, makes me wonder what there gunna do if they hook into something decent,,,, long way up on light gear

i've fished cab river from beachmere front,, speak to josh at the boat hire,, if anythings on the chew he'll let ya know

Give a man a fish, he'll eat it and fall asleep.

Teach a man to fish and he'll endanger an entire species

    Re: Bribie Bridge

I was talking to my uncle last night who is the president of the Bribie amateur fishing club, and he lives on the island. The word is that spinnaker sound marina area has a few good prawns in it. Cast net for them and then fish them live under the bridge. Has not yet figured out what xos fish keep wrapping the guys around the pilons, but they feel they are not sharks, they are a little more clever than that.

There's also mac's showing up between the bridge and the 1st channel marker headed out to the bay.
