Redcliffe (Soft Plastics in an aquarium ?)
Went out today (Saturday) 6am to 2pm, Spent an educational day in a mates boat. A pretty full on bass/breamin boat (2 Matrix Sounders, electric, platform, live well etc etc). Any hoo is was a relatively slow day with us working hard for our fish, the conditions were perfect. We worked the shallows with his Loomis Bronzebacks and Diawa Theory reels rigged with fireline and Saltwater Assassins and slider grubs.
We ended up after 8 hours play with the following:
1 x 2ft longtom -
15 x pike
1 x flounder
2 x blue face whiptail
2 x flatties between 45 -50cm - didnt measure em
4 x bream 2@34cm 1@ 26cm 1@ 37cm
6 x squire all between 25cm and 35cm
2 x sweetlip @ 30ish cm
We left the area with the pike attacking every cast.
The flatties are dinner with chips tonight at the Wong house, a couple of bream are dinner at my mates place otherwise all were left to swim another day.
Not a day of records but certainly a fun one with the soft plastics proving there worth ob an aquarium of species!
No pics today camera battery is dead
Cheers
