the bay saturday.
gaday all
fished the bay early saturday morning looking for a tuna or 3.
found the birds fairly late even though i was on the water at day break.
Macktuna and Long tails all overthe place but they where very flighty, making it hard to get close enough to cast at.
there were Bonito schools too and the slashing you could see from the distance had you convinced it was bigger fish.
Landed 1 bonito .
the tuna were feeding on tiny baitfish . the only size slug they'ed look st was a 15G baitfish profile. I did manage to hookup to a LT but the hooks on the small slugs is a little average and after 25minites the hooks straightened and the fish was gone unseen. i was only fishing 3 Kg so the hooks are Crape.
see what the next few trips hold.
