Top stuff mate ! any pics ?
well i finally got the big boat out for a run , was going to go offshore but saw the forcast & whimped out , so it was take minister for war & finance & our 2 little people up to pelican banks to chase whiting , a bit of overkill sitting up there in a 6.7m boat but it was a nice comfy ride . we ended up with 30 something whiting & a sole . so the boss/ minister says home time ( & i thought i was skipper ) so home we headed & i said we'll just pull up & have a quick fish in the river on the way home , i pointed out to the boss that both little people were asleep in the cab & the longer they sleep the better & they wouldn't stay that way while i drive the boat on the trailer , so a few snarls & hisses she says righto then but not too long . i showed her the 11 prawns that i had left & she said good
so first bait bang 56 cm flatty next bust of then 25 cm bream , 48cm flatty , drop 1 @ boat side , another flatty @ 57 cm & last but not least another 25 cm bream & the boss didn't get a bite oh well no more prawns & that was all in approx 20mins so home it was with smiles all round even from the deckie
clean the boat fillet all the fish pack all the frames in bait bags ready to put the pots in latter this week
