Sarah's first legal.
Hello Ausfishers,
Headed out to the shallow reefs off Wello this morning for a quick session with the plastics.
On board had fellow Ausfish member OB1 and the usual deckie being my wife.
The mission today was to land the wife her first legal fish on plastics and hopefully land a few
good fish for our visitor.
Reached the ramp around 5:15am this morning and on the water just after sun up.
It was a little tough going this morning with boat traffic on the water, and getting a good drift in amongst the boats already
around, how ever we did find a gap in the traffic and lines were in.
It didn't take long for the first legal to come on board which was caught by Sarah at 55cm. Oliver backed this up not long after with a 54cm followed by a 48 and 42. Finally after keeping all the smaller ones occupied I finally landed a keeper at 42cm.
Called it a day around 8.30 to try beating the rush back at the ramp.
All in all a very enjoyable morning with nothing less that spectacular boating conditions, great company and a few fish for dinner tonight.
Few photos attached of the better fish.
Happy fishing!
Jim

Good one Jim. I was out there yeaterday and got a few, mostly pretty small, on baits (peeled prawns were best), but nothing seemed to be interested in SPs. I was using 3" Gulps in pumpkinseed. What were you using? I am a newbie when it comes to SPs.
Mike
Such tuff conditions there Jim- . Congratualtions to all- nice looking fish and on the SP s even sweeter. Nice photos.
