Breambo's up the Tweed
Hi All
I have been pretty slack with my posts lately so decided to get off my but and post a few more pics. The Tweed has been fishing very well the last few weeks. There have been some really good size trevs and bream around . Looks like the first few winter spawners have started to come up the river over the last full moon. I had a bit of a mishap with my tow vehicle so managed to convince a mate to go for a fish on wed morning and had such a good morning on the water that we decided to go again this morning. ( didnt take much persuading actually) I think he was keener to get on the water than me. I wanted to show him a deadly little technique and a few new lures that have been delivering the goods for me on the bream the last few months. Had such a good day that I decided to do a feature on them for NSW fishing monthly for the July article. Here are a few pics from this morning pretty little fish . We got a good 30 plus fish for the morning and were back at work by 9:30. Didnt take too many pics because too keen to get the lures back in the water.
Good fishing to you all.Rod

Re: Breambo's up the Tweed
G'day Rod,
Looks like a nice session, are you fishing the upcoming ABT round on the Gold Coast? What lures did the damage, the one in the first pic looks like a shallow running Jackall Chubby, but I don't recognise the others. I had a session on the Broadwater last Monday, I was slack too and didn't post. All up 14 bream with 6 legals, the bag went 29, 28, 27, 26 & 24 to the fork. All caught on SX-40's and Gulp Sandworms cut down to 3".
When the boats finished we'll have to have a session down the Tweed.
Cheers
John

Re: Breambo's up the Tweed
Good work Rod. Nice to see that the hard bodies are still performing. The canals in the background look familiar. Look forward to reading your article. Hope to get out for a fish down at the Tweed again soon.
Cheers,
Marcel.

Nice pics Rod, good fish too! The water colour in the last one caught my eye along with the reflection of a small digi camera!

Rob
Very observant mate, took me a while to notice it .

Dont think I will be able to get the time off , it will be the same time as my residency application so will be putting in plenty of hours. The lure is a shallow diving Smith Camion and the other ones are Smith Towadi's. By far the best little topwater I have fished with for Bream.
Craig
We got a heap of keeper size Bream with the biggest going 33cm to the fork and a few around the 30.
cheers Rod
