Back from darwin 2 more species nailed modified

Hi guys posted r a few snaps of my trip to darwin for those of u that have been fishing that way will be able to see how much water was left behind after Monica left the first few r of shady camp which is about 3 hours drive out of town when we got there after driving through some flooded roads the fella we were with blew out as the boat ramp was no longer there and we launched as close as we could to where it was suspossed to be but unfortuneatly no fish ,the second fish the queeny was caught off the rock wall on the army /naval base up there that a m8 of mine I used to be in the army with got us on, they are lure mad up that way and catching that fish was more fun than the barra as I was using squid on a 3/8 jig head as it was the only sinker I had left due to to amout of snags that were there , were we fished ,the water started to boil if front of us all the locals were franticly throwing lures into it and me with my piece of squid only 1 fish caught off that wall all day and it was mine Queenslander and using bait so all up I had a great time got to see the new border patrol boats they are an orsome looking unit would be a scary if they came comming bearing down on you but no great numbers of fish ,but I got my barra so the trip was worth it a far is im concerned.cheers Snas

Bugger post didnt work properly > heres a fewsnaps of my trip to Darwin I arrived just in time for all the water to come pouring down after Monica had left so it wasnt the best trip possible but still got the fish I was after cheers snas

seeing those pics of shady camp bought back great memories of our trips out there ,a bit tooooo much water though looks like it will be a great fish when the water receeds.the old barge has been there for a long time,it was there in 96 i wonder if anyone has the time it got stuck there,i heard it was from some illegalls hiding from a cyclone.

very late wet season this year i got back 3 weeks ago have just booked for april next year

thanks guys the queenie was caught off the army /naval base rock wall where the patrol boats were kept.
(1)Robersl that water is not actually from the wet season it was left over from Monica (the cow) there wet season starts in a few months I believe.
(2)Rob, u bet m8 bbq barra was spot on and at least I knew it was Barra not that nile perch that the fishos sell ,YUMMY!!!
that the locals call there crocs, lizards when were motoring along I was told "over there youll get some good lizards" so I say im here to catch barra not flathead and they didnt no what I was talking about

Love that pic 1 - the flathead up there are so huge they have to grow legs to get around.
