Left wynnum boat ramp and headed out to Green for sunrise with about twenty other boats already fishing the area. Drifted and straight away were pested by heaps of vermon pike. They were making a mess of my plastics but there wasn;t to much else going on . All boats seemed very quiet , we did get two small squire that were quickly returned . We decided to fly over to the port walls for a flick .Had a few casts for not even a touch. Noticed a few birds a couple of hundred metres off the wall so shot over for a spin. for the next couple of hours we mainly caught Watsons bonito but every so often you would hit a tailor mixed in and I managed a school mackeral(which made beautiful fillets). We headed back between Mud and St helena channel looking for longtails but we found some small mac tuna schools . finished playing silly buggars with the mac tuna about 10.30 and headed for home .A good morning to be on the water but a little quiet on the fish .
