    G' day all
    Left brisbane at 4:30 am with some tailor on my mind ,picked up bait at gateway bait and tacle at Ningi .This not an ad but gotta praise Nigel to open at 4:30 and always have a best stuff you can wish for .Anyway ,arrived at woorim to meet up with fellow ausfisher Dave and his son .We both had an itch so after a quick hello raced down to the surf .POINTLESS .we fished for about 2 hours for a couple of stingrays and a few crab -this little buggas didnt wanna let go of the pillies.The guys had to leave early under their better half instructions (sorry mate i had to)so after they followed me down to the carpark just above the reef we sayed our goodbyes .NOW-i got me whippy breamrod out and grabbed my favourite breamreel an old faithful alvey 500b ,after a sort wade out to the ledge in went me first cast and wham a 34 cm bream i said hmmmmm second cast a similar sized chopper i said HMMMMMMMMMMMM and for the next 3 hours i was in my own world just fished away with nothing else on my mind.THE RESULTS ARE 26 BREAM EITHER JUST UNDERSIZED OR ABOVE 30CM- 11 CHOPPERS -2 SCHOOL MACK -3 grinners-AND A COUPLE OF BIG TAILOR WERE LOST THEY WERE JUST TOO BIG FOR MY GEAR .So i can confirm the bream madness beginned hoooray .To finish a long story im sitting here with my manyeth vb and a big grin which never left my face cheers George Dave you should have stayed

    Sorry one more thing all fish caught on pillies on ganged hooks and were released to fight another day .

    Geogre there gonig to ban you up there soon, I can see it now a big neon sign just before the bridge NO "MANCHILD" ALLOWED!!!

    I never did that well fishing at Bribie!! Good luck to you.

    You said you walked out to the ledge.
    Would that be the ledge in the Passage near the old wreck?

    Its good to see persistance pay off.I think my young bloke is seeing that things can be quiet and you change a spot/different style of fishing and bang ,you can end up with a totally different day.Good on ya mate, its all about having fun.

    Mate where abouts were you, surf side or passage ? dont have to say specifics but a general area would really help as i went down today and only got 2 choppers a shark and the dart were everywhere but i was there all day, going down tommorow so would really appreciate it.. once again well done mate!

    Manchild. I lived in the little shack behind that carpark for 12 months a few years ago. Is a great spot isn't it? Used to go for a run in the mornings around to Red Beach and a pod of dolphins would swim beside me all the way there and back. Saw some huge flathead taken there and plenty of bream and an old local that would find a 10 - 20lb jew about once a week. Often saw mack tuna feeding in front but I only fished the surf side for longtails and spotties. Unfortunately I had to leave there and move back to dirty old Teewah.

    We should do it agauin Dave Lindsay it is a fantastic spot a guy 20 meters from me keep pulling out moses perch on squid and an old fellow with shads caught a metre plus flattie .A warning thou if anyone getting the itch to fish that spot the old guy got bitten a few times by toadies so wear some sort of footwear guys .
