    Saturday SP at the Pin

Decided to wet a line on Saturday Morning with oddbudman. A bit of smooth water action was in order and we headed down to the Pin. With low tide at about 9am we were in with a good chance.

This was my first soft plastics session, and I was doubtful on the success of SP so I started out soaking a pilly for good luck. Oddbudman was quick off the mark with 4 fish landed before I got my first. The bites were thick and fast. One tailor was landed by oddbudman and another larger specimen biten off boatside. tailor were busting the surface and flathead were everywhere. By the second drift the pilly was reeled in and packed up.

End result was approx 20 flathead ranging between 25cm to 48cm, 2 tailor, 2 bream. all released to grow some more, except two flathead and one bream for the pan. The action quickly slowed at 8:30am so we packed up and headed for home. What a great mornings fishing. The SP now have a permanent place in my tackle box!

Looked like a great morn on the water and a nice result too! Good on you for chucking some back to grow a little bigger. And enjoy your new addiction to plakkys.

Was a great morning - lots of action to keep things interesting.

I can't wait to chase some more tailor on SPs- they sure are fun on the bream gear.

This was my first trip to the pin too -can't wait to get back there and shoot for some bigger fish.
