    fished maroochy beach last nite for a few hours after storms for 1 bream, 1 shovel and a nice 59cm greenback........had some fight on new 9lb line and just as i had it landed on the beach it bit through 120lb leader.........hopefully more to come

    Nice tailor m8,there has been quite a few greenbacks down this way as well 3-5kgs of a nite on cut bait. weel done

    lucky fellas
    i was up there last week and could only manage 1 shovelly and a 10kg wobby
    Are the bigger fellas getting caught on pillies or mullet fillets etc?. have to catch up withsome of u fellas when im back home on the holidays for a fish

    Landlubber: I have been getting them on fresh mullet strips they love them especially now that the mullet are running

    landlubber - i hear bonito is the go but unfortunately i was unable to get any as it was pretty late in the day.

    fish?? - not sure about your greenback verification system but i would consider this fish to be pushing the 3kg mark and heading into the greenback side of tailor - at least for me anyway.

    yeah m8, good size from maroochy, can get bonito from the swan boat hire. do u cut the strips thin or use a whole fillet? ive only ever used pillies

    Great fish mate. I'm probably heading up to Rainbow over the long weekend in search of a few. If anyone knows how the tailor are going up there, feel free to share the knowledge.

    i still love that pic of the flattie,,,, this mother is also a great catch,,, (at least you've got plenty of bream bait to keep ya goin for a while,,, )

    Top fish mate. Knocked a 67 cm one as well as 2 x 62 cm ones off in one niight there last september. Got them all on whole pike, but the big one did cough up a 20cm mullet.

    choppa - yeah thanks for that mate. i'll never stop knocking the coffee tables back. heading to bowen soon so hopefully i can pick up another piece of furniture up there.

    jackash - cheers mate - have fished there probably 1/2 doz times for a few small bream and was started to get jack of the place but it seems i will be making another trip back with some decent bait this time and putting the whole nite in.

    thought of this fish today mate,,, a couple were landed from maroochy and made the s/shine coast daily report,,, both in the 4kg range

    pic was taken what looked liked to be inside a chemist???????

    may have been after some heart starters or something for em,,,,
