The evil in the day came out, no fish. Tried aroun wurtulla beach for about an hour with slugs and rios prawn, but no takers, couldn't even spot a follow. There was a strong sweep to the north and the wind was up so I wasn't really expecting success. Another old fella near me got a really nice size dart, 40cm plus it looked, using pipis, but he couldn't get another bite after that. Hopefully better luck when the wind dies down.

Been surfing there a bit over the past coupla weeks and seen a fair few fish. Saw a guy trolling up a few nice choppers about 50m behind the break one day. Was out there last Thursday and saw what was either a very large tailor or a decent little kingy, just cruising solo past me as I was sitting out the back. After a decent set of waves, the rip would fire up out front of the rocks, and there were some horse dart sniffing around there. Oh , saw a few shovellies too.
I was only using light spinning gear and even with the fireline on I don't think I could cast that far. Still, nice to know they are at least there. Today I couldn't even get a follow. How come you haven't tried there if the fish are there?

probley too busy getting tubed in the great offshore mornings with munchy swells that have blessed us for a couple of weeks now. surfed mudjimba the other morning and was getting some great barrels when i got showered by gar that were fleeing from nice sized tailor and yes i would go back to fish for them but they can wait as the reds on the shelf are calling.
I tried golden beach this afternoon for something different and got a few baby whiting after about an hours effort, but there was so much weed it was hardly worth the effort.
