Ah yes, Gary. I probably know the man you are talking about but the last name didn't ring any bells. We will get to the bottom of it one day George.
Metal sluts? Sliders? You've just given me a great idea mate - sex sells, but didn't think it could be applied to the tackle industry.
I'm pleased that you enjoy the reports mate. I've been playing with tailor for a damn long time now and I find it as satisfying to be able to help others catch them now as it is to get them myself. That is as long as they aren't fishing in my water!!
I have heard more misinformation about tailor fishing than I would have thought possible over the years and Ausfish provides a good opportunity to dispell the myths and provide the quite simple facts about how to go about tailor fishing properly. There are always going to be slight variances and preferences from one angler to another, but the basic rules for these fish will always remain the same.
There is also a hidden agenda - to encourage anglers to use artificials for tailor. I don't mean specifically sliders, but something other than a W.A. pilchard - we don't need to kill a fish to catch a fish and this is especially true when it comes to tailor. I have proven it countless times in many locations and the rewards of not only the fish but the visual aspects of the hook up are hard to equal in any other style of fishing.
I'll keep the reports coming until I've convinced every last one of yas.

PS. If everything goes quiet from Slider for a while, it is because the nets have buggered me AGAIN.

Would be happy to George and not just because you mentioned the magic word - bourbon. Bundy or beer works just as well and come to think of it so does just about anything other than VB or strongbow.
Mate, let me know when you're thinking of coming up and we'll catch up for a quiety.

Re: Teewah - More Tailor Today

    This mornings report.

Spun in 4 or 5 different gutters and didn't get a strike. Spun through and around a huge school of bait that had 15 to 20 gannets bombing it and didn't get a strike. There were no dart or tailor breaking the surface around the bait which has me worried. Don't even have a sunrise pic as there was a large cloud bank on the horizon this morning.
Not drawing any conclusions from this mornings effort until I can rule in or out the activity of the netters that passed me in a convoy and universally gave me sh!t this morning. The aggressive attitude of these guys is starting to concern me a little but merely inspires me to achieve what's right. If only they knew that I'm actually striving to save some of their jobs rather than have them banned as is the call from many sectors. They should be yelling abuse at the Noosa Shire Council not me.

They passed me too on bribie right on sunrise with 5 4b and spotters on the roof.I caught that tuna about 2 hours later when they already gone .maybe they werent going after them ,and i start to think they are the reason there is no tailor on the surfbeach for the last few weeks.
    cheers George
