Hi everyone..an absolutely beautiful fri arvo/fri night/sat morning down the pin..hit the water about 5.30 fri arvo to be greeted with awesome conditions..headed straight to the pin bar area..fished there for a few hours both SP's & bait but got zilch..drifted along kalinga banks again zilch..didnt worry me too much,it was just nice to enjoy a place most of us take for granted...
Plan A was about to be introduced as we originally planned to try for some tailer just before high tide around mid nite..headed over to the drop off just to the nth east of the crusoe cross..tide was running like a train so after a few attempts we anchored on the spot..
Wasnt too long before they were on..had half a dozen nice tailor on ice in about 25 minutes(all around the 40-45cm mark)they gradually got smaller from then on..at one stage you could get out & walk on them..lost count of how many 25-35cm fish we threw back..
they were everywhere..had an absolute ball..about 1.30am we headed over to millionaires row for a few bundys & a kip..man it was bloody cold from about 2.00am til sunrise..plenty of boats around swan bay this morning..didnt see anything being caught..home by 10.30am..
All in all a great trip..
