    brissie river cool down

Garrett and myself headed out yesterday for another flick round the walls to find it dead quiet after the last few days of excitement. Couldn't raise a scale but I feel I've been fishing enough over the last few days and kept enough imfo to start looking for patterns. gone over tides/times /wind/ lunar to see a few things starting to become cloudy clear. I've put a cross on a few dates that will give me the aha I want if they fire.fingers crossed. I'm convienced by a couple of mates that fish these areas daily because they work on the project that these squire and snapper are around constantly all year but its hit and miss at times but their there. I'm working on the hit and see if i can loose the miss. anyway the young bloke was sure he'd get a squire over 600 mm yesterday, I doubt if there was anyone on the water that had hooks as sharp as this bloke yesterday anyway put this report in because I feel when your planning your own trips it s good to see how someone else is fishing good or bad ,it all helps.

Goodonyer Chief. I suffered the same fate on Thursday night at Mud and Friday morning at Mud and Green. Not a scale!

Maybe it will be better next week towards the new moon.

Hi Chief, Mate you were'nt alone yesterday because we had the same problem trying to find a squire willing to take a plastic.
They showed on the sounder and came on the chew for 15 minutes before shutting down again.
You can keep records of those hot sessions/moon phases/ tides but you can't predict what the weather is going to do.
In my books the New Moon period fishes the best but others will have there own preferences.
If only we knew what a fish was thinking!!!!.
But then again if they were so easy to catch we would all just be out there boating.
I CAN FEEL A NEW MOON COMING ON VERY SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Cheers Brent

Not to worry Chief at least you know where they live now. All you have to do is just keep going and recording all the info. Within time you will learn when to go and when not to go. Keep up the good work. Might see you out there one day as where you fish is T1's favourite spot
It's all part of the fishing experience

    Chief,

I went down the river last night only a few bream 2 keepers. Something did nail a live herring but was to slow on the uptake.

I think there is little question over moon phases and tide heights affecting fish feeding patterns. Anyhow I did notice the water temp. had dropped from 19oC on Thursday too 16-17oC last night don't really know whether water temp. would also slow the feeding down to add to moon phases?
