Being a Noosa local I can tell you its not easy to consistently pull jacks out of the river on lures and plastics.Livies are another story.

i notice during my recent trips to noosa head, atleast 1 out of 2 trips we manage to catch baby jacks that go at 20-25cm mark, and once caught have a couple of snaps and release it back into the waters...is it that baby jacks tend to surface in winter, known that they are normally caught during the summer, or is it just a coincedent...
