On Sunday, we got up and got the boat ready for fishing. We then drove up the road and then my dad said “do we have oil” and I said “no” so we went back and got some oil and made our way to the petrol station. We then filled up our petrol tanks and then we went to the ramp, 3 quarters of the way there dad said “I forgot to grab some ice and I paid for it” and then we went all the way back to the station and got some ice then finally we got to the ramp around 9 o’clock.
We then headed out to Redcliffe and stopped at our usual spot and then caught a few livies. We sat there few an hour or two and caught a great big nothing. We then decided to have a bit troll to see if there were any big tailor around but we failed. When we were trolling we found a nice big drop off and had a bit of a soft plastic drift there, we pulled up one 38cm squire and lost a decent fish after it; we had a few more taps and missed them all, so we decided to stop.
We anchored up in 18-19 feet of water and chucked a piece of pike. When we were getting ready to chuck some more bait out we got smashed and hooked up with a nice squirey\snapper and then 5 mins later we pull in an even bigger specimen and then we sit there for a bit longer and caught another squire but this time it is smaller then the 2 that we just landed. We sat there for a least another hour and only caught a small shark. I then had a really big hit on my little overhead and then my dad caught a little, little squire and then caught nothing after so we decided to pack up and head home in time for the football.
All in all we had a fun day
