    Pin tagging trip

Sat arvo fish down the pin aiming to tag a few fish. Has two crew (both fellow ausfishoes) with me.

Fishing was pretty slow with the strong Southerly and clear water. There were plenty of fish around. I could not keep a live bait in the water longer than 5 minutes, but we only had around 20 poddy mullet. SPs were second by a long way, and our other baits of chicken and fish flesh were barely getting a look.

Ended up tagging 5 flathead from 33 to 44 cm, a tailor of 38 cm, and three bream of 21 to 25 cm.

    Might have some photos later.

Interesting bit was the rescue of an 18' half cab which I reported to the VMR. I will put up a seperate post on this in boating.

Sounds like a good day mate. Its hard to beat the livies in the clear water.

    Re: Pin tagging trip

Hi JEREMY, we were using flesh baits yesterday and couldn't buy bites at one stage - eventually moved to another spot where we were getting bites but not flash ones - so great effort on your part to have that many fish come on board...
