    Squiriffic

Had a few short hours this afternoon to kill so headed over a to a close spot in the southern bay for a quick squire chase on SP's.......
Was a good arvo with a 50, 42 and 39 cm model coming aboard with countless other around the 30-34cm mark. On nightfall the fishing shut down which I felt was a a little suprising, so I left them and went home to squire and chips for tea.

There was no one "SP of the day", everything I tried (Berekly Gulps, Zoom Baby Bass, Food Source worms etc) was getting regularly smashed

Question: On nightfall should I have tried larger SP's??? (mostly I use 3") to get some interest???? Good to hear from the experts what I was doing wrong.

Nice catch mate, I use the 4" zoom baby bass at night but usually with some moon high in the sky.
The gulps have that scent so should attract something in the dark.
Don't think it matters too much about size but it may depend on what size bait they are chasing.
The old story "match the hatch".
    Cheers Brent

    Nice catch mate.
We use everything 4" and above, doesnt seem to deter them at all. Even smaller fish hit them with gusto.
If they could make the Gulps in 7", I'd give them a go for sure

VIC, it was eerliy quiet last night at Wello on baits and SP's... #No idea why as there was no real reason for it other than they must've all bedded in for an early night i guess! #

Well done on your catch though!
