Hi All
2 weeks ago it was SMERDO, on Tuesday it was yours truly and last night, it was IBBO! 3 consecutive trips to Wello Pt on the SS Minnow and 3 Snapper/Squire PB's.
In what was otherwise a very slow night, IBBO landed his PB of 56cm. Unlike our last bait & burley evening session 2 weeks ago, there were no 'zzzzzzz' running consistently through the night! Even IBBO's fish didn't emanate any 'zzzz' as he had no ratchet on that reel. The only 'zzzzz' was TINN's earlier in the night when a freight train hit his pilly and decided it was on its way to China, eventually spitting the hooks.
And for some reason, one of TINN's crew thought it was funny to cast behind our boat >- TINN, ettiquete required from future crew members!!!
Highlight of the evening was the entertainment IBBO put on! IBBO landed a beautiful looking Wobbygong (Pic below). After taking some photo's and admiring his beauty, IBBO delicately placed it back in the water and released it! Simultaneously to my dismay (as i'd had no interest all evening from anything with gills), one of IBBO's rod started going crazy. 'Bast%rd!' i exclaimed as he replied with 'F%#k @#%$&*@^#*&##!' It soon became apparent why IBBO wasn't excited! He'd released the Gong with the hooks still in his mouth! So, another fight to bring it in and another netting required! Funny Sh%t at that time of the night that's for sure!
Even though it was quiet, we had such a great day on Tuesday that we couldn't care less about how many we caught last night - at least we were out there and IBBO's PB was a superb bonus! Well Done Mate!!
