    Peel 27/7

Thought i would post a report on our a visit to peel this morning at 5am. Started off being really really foggy not knowing where the hell i was going - but plugged in peel to the gps and i was eventually away. #

Fishing was hot from about 6am for an hour, catching probably a total of 30 Squire, only 4 keepers tho - 40,41,36 and 38cm's - not quite as big as the ones ive seem some ausfishos catching in recent weeks but still good for me nonetheless. I was using plastics (mainly saltwater assassins - pumkinseed, baby bass and electric chicken, and my friend used bait - Until i said Collo"Have a crack at the plastics". #From the moment he had his first cast (mind you with just 10pd mono & no leader) he didnt put the plastic rod down and caught the biggest fish (just) and probably just as many as i did using all the technical stuff - 12pd braid - 14pd flurocarbon leader - goes to show on this occasion it didnt make that much difference.

    Another Bait man converted

Two of the keepers were caught at Coochie on the way home which i thought was wierd - at Peel it had completely shut down # Pics to follow

R K Hill only been using plastics on 3 outings now so hard to kinda describe. Ummmm basically i cast out let it sit at/near the bottom for a few seconds - i then lift rod up with a couple of quick jerks, real in the slack line let it sink back down, basically i just keep repeating this process. In between this, as others have put it, hope for a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz

    Give it a try sometime
