    Sad Day at Peel

    Me and deckie went on a bit of a recon around Peel ...Found some beaut looking bottom on the Eastern side and for three hours non stop fish coming on board..the only problem was that they were ALL juveniles of every make and model...Looks good for the years ahead I guess
    Did the lot .....drifting, trolling, sp's ,bait u name it we tried it all for nadda
    Very quiet water so I am putting it down to that,,,bearly a ripple all day
    Anyways till next time ...
    Tite lines Ausfishos
    Murks
    PS
    Any tips on marks or best times , best tides etc etc etc will be appreciated
    I gotta bleed my new boat I need some help
    Sideline Comment::
    One thing that really worked well was the new fuel flowmeter that I had installed, got back home and filled the boat to within half liter of what the recorded usage said..very happy with that knowing exactly how much fuel you have in the tank

    Try night times, sunset/sunrise with a change in tide is great.
    Also try and remember that Big bait means Big fish!! you will not get any woppers flicking a prawn or something out, try a squid head as big as your hand or even bigger and wack a 7/0 - 9/0 octapus and make sure that the bloody barb is fully exposed u don't want to hide the business end from the fish.

    * No talking or dropping crap in on the floor, or you will kiss a good 20-30mins of fish away.
    * Try to limit the amount of light going on the water, fish don't have eye lids so they don't like the light.
    * Try to use a bait runner type reel to give the fish no resistence while it is sucking and chewing on your bait, when it starts to run off give it 2-3 mtrs then hit him.

    Can't go wrong m8 let me know how you go.

    cheers Steve

    TPIO - Hey Steve, do you believe having a radio on in the boat is a distraction?
