    What are they?

Does anyone know exactly what these 2 fish are? I've fished hard for nearly 20 years and have never seen the larger one before. It was caught a month or so ago on live herring at the Pine River Bridge. Thought I had a nice Flathead, Damn it!

The 2nd fish (in the palm of my hand) I have caught 1000's of them over the years in the net and have always thrown them back, thinking they are a cheap version of bream. Never seen them over 20cm. Do they make good live bait or is their flesh any good for bait either?

    Re: What are they?

Biddies make great jack baits mate. The trevors don't mind em either. Top effort getting a GH in the stinky pine. Nice size too. Can't imagine how you thought you had a nice lizard cause those things are on speed. Cheers

    Re: What are they?

Mate nice fish. The Biddies also make good bream bait when they are smaller. Also caught plenty of Jack at the Isla of Capri bridge with them as well.
