Popped down for a quick fish after work, about 300m down stream of the highway bridge (Murrumba Downs side, from the shore). Fishing with live puddy mullet only. The one that got away was out feeding tonight, lost him a couple of meters from the shore after a good fight (snapped off). Other than that, caught a few catfish and dinner (pictured below) then went home to eat it.
yer mate some nice flatties coming from there lately on SP's too. Looks about the same size that have been getting caught, pity they dont get too much bigger in there aparently. Always good fun though...did you catch your poddy mullet from the same spot because i often think thats what the bait fish are i can see??
Good work
daniel
yer i thought so. Try high tide that usually produces better when you get a chance, one time we got 4 flatties in about 20 minutes on the SP's there. Its a really gun spot some days and on its bad days you still get a couple.
Been going next to the bridge lately, but the currents pretty strong on the full tide and haven't been doing too well. On the Murrumba downs side there seems to be a lot less sweep and always seem to do better there.
Yep! Fish from the beach (or mud, on most occasions). Have a tinny down at Palm beach but I cant afford a tow bar and trailer yet. Hopefully by the end of the year.
Yeah if you want to catch up for a fish, I only live about 15mins or so from the Pine. Been going every few days or so lately. I'll let you know when I go next.
The pine is definately the place that is firing at the moment. I will be there on sunday soaking some bait and tossing some plastics around. Im looking forward to another feed of flatties. Nice catch mate.
100% agree with that !! I was fixing stuff at the mother in laws, blehh !
And to top it off she lives next to the tweed river and the conditions there over the weekend were perfect, wish I'd taken the rod (and NSW bloody licence)
BOO HOO
