Over the weekend I got some good fishing time in at the Tweed. Me and a mate picked up 17 flatties, a few bream, pike and a nice feed of tailor over 2 nights.
Highlights were a 73cm flattie on a 2" shad and getting bitten off by some big tailor as we tried to lift them on to the pylon foot. We ended up with some nice flattie fillets and a feed of fresh tailor.

nice catch, did you walk the flatties to the side or pole them up? it's amazing the size of fish which 2" plastics get hammered by.
Nice fish mate, good to see your makeshift gloves (beanie and shirt I think) pleased to see people taking care of fish for release.
nice catch ther emate... is that a bridge ur fishing off ???
Nice fish matthias, its amazing how few people fish plastics at night.

great stuff nice fish
Yep sacrificed my beanie for the first one and had a dirty work shirt ready for the second. Caught the flatties at West Tweed and the tailor under Boyds Bay Bridge.
Ps. I didn't pole the big one up because I didn't want to test the 6lb braid. Sprinted down while my mate held her steady, sprinted up with her in the damp shirt, took a few pics, put her in a bucket of water, walked down and let her go in the shallow water.
