Great Sandy Bits part 1
Well was lucky enough to get Bob (Serene Lady) and His B.I.L , Jim – who will now be know by his Indian name “Walks in Circles” due to one bung knee , to take me for an all dayer around some beautiful country in the great sandy straight.
Bob and Jim have been fishing here for a couple of days and the fishing stories were great , the company was excellent and the fishing was pretty good too , not to mention that the part of my brain that I allocate to fishing ….is working overtime with all the new information I was exposed to today , thanks again gents, was a top day out.
So what happened, well see pics, we did approx 80-100km +- ,1st stop at yabbie banks which didn’t slow down WIC as he some how levitated from the boat to shore and back , flicked some plastics, caught a lot of different fish..I’ll try to list them:
School Mac
Pike
Bream
Tusk fish
Parrot fish
Squire
Sweetlip
Butter bream
Pikie bream
Tailor
Whiting – 3 types
Flathead
Sole
Estuary cod
Grinners
Trag dew
Fished for all sorts with yabbies mostly, some plastic action was had, Jim was most productive and consistent at all locations on bait, Bob was a close second and I got the biggest fish . Amazing that we hardly changed our rigs or bait and we caught so many types of fish, this place is …well its no good so no one come here ….by for now I need some sleep and I’m of to the boat shop tomorrow.
Sorry lads if I missed a few things but I’ll let you fill in the blanks, thankyou again.
Cheers,
Chong
