After seeing Brandon's report for the Pine the other day I would be leaning toward a trevally, with the speed and the changes in direction you mention it could be a possibility, but I also know of somebody who has caught jew up there before.
Yeah, I'm leaning towards a Trevor as I've had 'em to a kilo before and the fight was very similar.
With regards to the Jew. I only saw 2 other boats all day and one was a guy with a rig fitted out with an electric. He shut down and used the electric when he got near to me at spot X and started chucking a hard body towards the snags. He was within talking distance and told me that he'd had 4 soapies the week before the biggest going 31/2kilo

onya kev - great to be out in the old girl pine either way! bet that little lizard was great chewin. we've scored a few soapies up to 45cm in there, but ive heard of some monster bigger girls around the pilons there. never hooked on though. here's to more lizards and stonker breambos inhabiting the vermin waterway! cant wait to be back up soon. any pike eels around? hope all's good there sir. take care.
