it didnt work ill try again
hey ausfishos,
i recently fished lake illawarra (tuesday) hoping for some flathead and bream we left about 2:30 boat in the water about 2:50-3:00 we tryed our 1st spot not a bite things werent looking to good about 30 mins later we decided to move down the channel we saw people pulling up tones of blackfish so we decided to anchor. nothing for about 10 mins we were getting worried then on sunset bang! landed our 1st fish for the day only 30cm but good enough after that bream were just flowing in around 27cm to 40cm.
as they stopped bang my skipper brang up a nice 40cm bream about 1.5kg then 3 mins later i was on i thought it was a big tailor fighting real hard then i saw it i couldnt beleive it it was the biggest bream i have seen we got it aboard measured 49 cm and 2kg very happy but still couldnt beleive it!
we tryed all diferent types of soft plastics but not even a bite i have officialy gone of sp's as they dont work and are a waste of money down this way in n.s.w.
all up an awesome day and a nice feed.
f1sh_boy
oops sorry ill try make the rest smaller
it looks retarted because i had 2 resize its bigger then it looks!
another notice the size between the bream and the pen
Looks like they dont call ya FishBoy for nothing Some nice bream there, mmm on the bbq with fresh lemon, garlic, butter and some herbs - mmm mmm mmm
Mate I'd be checking youre ruler and youre scales. If that one in your hand is 49cm then you must be a giant!!!!! (with a really big hand)
Hmmm I think I can smell that bbq from here MMMMMM fresh bream thats the way to go , excellent job with the bream FISH_BOY .
Bundy
i forgot 2 mention that while we were fishing my skipper (1975fllh) caught an old shakespear reel on some sort of old rod both in alrite condition regarding the barnicles lol we didnt get any pics

Have you got a pic of the big one mate. Haven't seen a 49 for ages. Sounds like you've got a bloody good spot down there
hey here is the pic creek vermin sorry it looks bad but its actually bigger then it looks i dunno why it looks so small maybe because its gutted and resized i suppose ?
anyway i cheeked my scales and ruller and it is 49cm and exactly 2 kg
I've got the pen to bream ratio at 6:13 the longest pen on my desk goes 15cm therefore if we divide 15 by 6 and then multiply by 13 we get 32.5 , hope thats right as I'm doing it in my head, but still a little short of the magic number. The longest pencil on my desk goes 17cm, ahh I see the pens are bigger in the 'gong.
