Yeah we worked it out with a 16cm pen - to finish at a 35.7 cm bream. Thats compared to the pen you have in pic!!! 49cm????

Your pen in pic would have to be 21.97cm long if the bream is 49cm.
The bream is 2.23 times length of pen in pic. 49 divide 2.23 is 21.97, that's a long pen! Anyway best to put a real ruler in pics if claiming a big fish next time . Nice fish anyway mate [smiley=wink.gif]

I'm going to try to find a pen thats exactly 10cm long. I think this will make calculating the length of fish a lot easier as maths is not my strong point!
Nice feed of bream. The one that went 4.9 10cm pens is a snodger.
Heres a couple me mum got when I took her out to try the plastics at Redcliffe. They both went about 4.2 10cm pens.

hey mate that is a very nice looking plate of fish, but unfortunately i havnt witnessed fish undertake any form of shrinkage when gutted haha. But the point is you caught him and noone else here did so I will leave it at that haha.

Doesn't look like a 2kg bream to me, but some nice bream anyway.
BUT just to make this post true, just in case the pen isn't 23cm long, here is a pic of a 2.24kg bream my mate Andy caught a couple of weeks ago. A bit secretive about the location so the back round is rubbed out.
