    Hey richos - when you say you were using a much slower retrieve, were you working them accross the surface of the water, or letting them sink?

    Don't know too much about using metal slugs, but the idea intrigues me

    I think he means midwater, so yeah, letting them sink a little and then a slow retreive, kind of like how I use the plakkys for the tailor with a heavier jig head.

    Hi guys.
    I was fishing the seaway side of the rockwall.
    With the retrieves, i was letting the lure sink to the bottom(15-20 seconds), then just giving it a quick yank to get things moving and winding in slowly.

    and heres a 58 cm tailor taken on her today ,the big hooks seem to hold em ok,cheers.

    fish off rocks around the gold coast ,they all hold good fish,cheers.
