Turkey Beach

Hi All

Heading up to Turkey Beach next week for a few days, just wondering how's the fishing been in the area also would it be worth while heading over to Awoonga for a day.

G'day mark. My brother and a group og his mates just got back from turkey. They got some decent cod in Rodds Harbour and a heap of good trevors offshore on a wreck up to 16kg and a few cobia up to 20 kg. Awoonga is always worth a go though I hope you get better weather than when I was there.Cheers mate.

I was up at Turkey Beach about 5 weeks ago fished inside the creeks with hard bodied lures. One session was memorable due to the creek being thick with baby spanish mackeral. Had a whale of a time. Just remember to take whatever you want to eat and drink with you cos the prices are astronomical in the store. There were some nice muddies around as well. Also what dawn and dusk on Turkey Beach Rd as there are roos everywhere.

I was with smailesy on that trip. Hope you do as well as what we did loved it my first outing of that kind beat any charter I've ever been on

Thanks for the info men, my first time in the area am looking forward to it a couple of 20kg cobia would be nice along with some mud crabs so i should't have to spent to much money at the shop.
