We fished the n/w corner about 150 nw of the nw cardinal. Bit further out than normal buts thats where the fish were. 28-32ft deep.
Gunna,
A couple of the smaller squire were caught on 7/0's yes.. Not much of the hook, see photo, protrudes out of the plastic, but what does protrude comes out directly behind the head. In my opinion thats the best place for hookup as snapper like to attack the head of there prey.
Adamy,
Have not tried the prop yet, but will soon. Wednesday AM early looks the goods this week.
T1,
almost the same spot as last time. And yes those plastics will be on the way shortly including some much smaller 110mm ones in the usual colors.
excellent foggy, i was trying to get out myself but all i did was run a cruising charter around the coast ...had fun though. ..great fish mate well done
Brett
Excellent work Graham, I took my javallon out there today and after about 2 hours managed to hook up to Australia.
Tried to free the plastic but ended up breaking the line.
Lost a big fish today when the hook pulled.
There's always a next time.
Will join that 5 kilo club soon i hope..lol.
We thought you may have been out there this arvo but i said to Steve you prefer the incoming tide.
Do you have any 160 javallons?
Cheers Brent
