Released ? Kept?
Well done mate, makes me want to break out the credit card and get my yak now, instead of slowly putting away funds in the cunning kick. Go the seabourne speed bump brigade.
Released ? Kept?
Biggest we can keep them here in Qld is 70cm so she was released, but I wouldn't have kept her anyway even if she was just under 70cm, don't like to eat fish.

Peter
Yes the kayak certainly shows the size of the girl. That photo is now on my desktop at work
BennyJ I was fishing near the prawn farm. I have been fishing the Logan for about four years and I would say that it is a very clean river, especially where I fish up near the mouth. People always say, I wouldn't eat anything you catch from there, but there is nothing wrong with it as far as I am concerned, and I have taken home many a feed for the neighbours from there and they have never complained about the fish and how it tastes.

Awesome photos.
Unbelievably so, that the 2 best photos of big fish lately have been caught in a Kayak. The other fabulous photo is of Fish head with the 10kg Trevally photo. I have now saved his photos and now yours in a folder for posterity reasons.
Keep up the good work and thanks for releasing her to make more like her for the future.
Cheers
Rose
Good on ya dunks
We never used to eat bream out of the logan but the odd jack when the whiting run and the odd shark around xmas graced our bbq plate but we used to catch some pretty sick looking bream from time to time so we stayed away from them. good to see the old logan still goes all right . keep the logan river reports coming .
Cheers
Ben
great flatty, that pic next to the kayak really shows how big she is
Dunks
Same here.. I do like fresh fish, and 70cm means NOTHING where we live at Caloundra. I see people taking undersized fish all the time, so why would a big one go back ? I've never seen a fisheries officer anywhere around here.
I would release it because it if everyone kept every fish caught, as they seem to do out at the reefs.. There will be nothing left. A big 70cm Flattie is a good breeder and will help replace some of the fish taken by the greedy... and the commercial Pirates.
nice work
Good effort from that on your 3 trip Dunks, I bet your hooked on your new toy now!
cheers

How are you liking the esprit so far, any dramas? Can you remember what the sounder set up cost you with battery and such?
