My last break saw me doing the Scarborough thing for little return and the diary shows that this time last year (August) was the same. The water being clearer due to Westerlies seems to be the reason.
The Wello crew seem to be still getting a few though??

Good report Dan....... shame I disn't notice you out there. I had a go at Redcliffe reefs last Monday but as you say, it seems to have gone off a bit atm. Manged two flatties going 42 and 48 but apart from them and the hundreds of pike, I didn't get a touch. Perhaps the big 'uns are gorged on pike atm?
