    Townsville Rocks 24/8

    Went out Yesterday 5pm till 8pm............incoming tide with a high at around 9:30pm.

    Used fresh mullet strips and live mullet

    2 X Grunter (31cm and 40cm)

    1X Small GT (30cm)

    1 X Hairtail (97cm)

    2 decent runs on the live mullet. Both times spat the hook...............I suspect barra

    All in all a good evening

    Sounds like a good session mate.
    Soon you will get one of those runners on the livies.

    A fresh and live mullet are best way to catch anything...

    It all started so well..............I usually have to throw the cast net 15 times to get some mullet and prawns. At around 4:30.............1 cast and a perfect circle to my amazement.
    result........................35 prawns about 80-90cm and 7 mullet.

    No fish caught on prawns................all on mullet
