First time i've been for a fish in about 5 weeks, to much work ,to many committments and football season finals for my son. The young bloke did quite well for the season with grand final in rugby union (lost), a grand final in rugby league (won)recieved Players player award and recieved Most consistent player in club. this young bloke is my shadow when it comes to fishing so when his commitment turns to football then so does the old mans. Anyway haven't been on the water for a while so today we left wynnum with a hand full of slugs and plastics. First plan was to hit green with some plastics but we were sidetracked by a few longtail that caught our eye. couldn't get a decent shot at them. but from that time on we lost sight of time and punched our way around the islands with that northerly in search of surface fish. Had a small session on plastics at green and got a few grinners but it was late in the morning. Went for one last pass of the east of green when we came across T1 and Adamy. Two of the biggest grinners i'd seen all day, when they went to the esky to show me their bagout achieved early in the morning . Now the fellas imform me that they've had schools of mackeral feeding and busting up around the boat earlier in the morning as well, you;ve got to be joking . Probably the only place we didn't bloody look. Anyway got a few days off ,so i can feel a few trips coming on... Also went and seen wynnum seniors rugby union grand finals this afternoon ,where another ausfish member richieboy had put down the rods and pulled on the boots and played a great game to take out the grand final . Congradulations mate , now all i need to do now is catch some fish
