Nice work mate. Good to see adamy getting some fish as well. Got to be happy with a bag out. I am going out to tackle a few tomorrow am inside of moreton on some new ground I found last week. Talk to you soon eh
Foggy
Nice catch fellas.
How was the water quality out there? Looks a bit more coloured than recently. I fished Green last week and could see the coral in 5m easily
What sort of leader and ig head do you use on the 5" plackys
Cheers
Neil

Hey Horse, Water quality was excellent - a bit stirred up just the way we like it! Couldn't see the bottom in 3 metres of water - which probably explains why the fish were so aggressive. It was a nice green colour (rather than gin clear)
T and I experimented with a range of Jig heads 3/8 was the weight while size varied from 2/0 - 5/0 personally I think the 5/0s were too big for the placcie - but T and the fish didnt think so, he landed most of his on 5/0. Meanwhile my best hookups were on the smaller ones, I did move to 4/0 but had less hookups.
I think the fish were biting on the certain colour placcie because of the water conditions... we tried various colours but only the blue pepper neon and the watermelon green thingy T mentioned worked consistently. I dont think leader matters much - T fishes 20lb and I fish 12-14lb. T's hookup rate is better but I think I dropped more fish (and got bricked by a heavy monster), but I think that is mostly due to my striking style cant seem to shake the urge to strike at them when they're trying to rip line away - instead of letting them take it and just leaning in.
We didnt mention the capture of a small mackeral and a bite off from another - they were busting up out there for a while.
It was a great day to be alive (and out fishin with a good mate )!!!
T1 and Adam, glad you had a good day out there. The morning was obviously the best time to get out there. We headed out in the arvo and it would have been more gentle sitting inside a washing machine and probably more chance of getting fish as well. > Next time.

He who aims at nothing is sure to hit it.
HORSE - Neil, i was using 1/8th and 5/0 jigheads all morning. While my hook-up rate was higher than Adam's as he mentioned, he DID miss a few but then he was pretty excited too... Gotta stop striking for 'Tailor' when fishing for Squire Adam...
Hey ADAM, if i had've known you were using 3/8th (?!), i would've clobered you on the head with one! No wonder you kept hooking bottom...
STEVEN 78 & FOGGSTER - good luck tomorrow guys!! I hope to see some nice pic's up!!
Thanks everyone else for your positive feedback!
Take Care T
Oops sorry mate typo... checked them - 1/8th... dont even own any 3/8ths... hmmm should get some though - in case I head to mud.Originally Posted by T1
Fantastic fellas, makes me jealous I was at home cleaning up the yard. Ah well, the boat is calling, have to check with the beloved to see when the next leave pass is on offer
Horny
Live every day as if it's your last - for one day you're sure to be right!
I don't know who that might have been GW but I feel like I've been run over buy a truck! What a poor day on the bay after lunch, no wonder we were the only one's out there!Originally Posted by Great White
Well done T and A, sounds like you guys have a great combination going, you don't bag out without a good crew working together.
Scalem
SCALEM - Brian, not many people you can take out that work well with each other straight up - in fact few and far between! But Adam was pretty good (once he learned to hook the landing net up after each use - he'd had enough practice though)...

A top report guys and you got some great rewards for your efforts. Loved the water colour Looks like you picked the right time to have a fish....damn northerlies.

Well done fellas. Nothing like having a giggle when the fish are biting
T1 what was the break down of the catch T1 = ??????????
I can do the rest of the math
Peter
Pete, it was slightly in my favour however poor ole ADAMY had the 'great whites' and kept striking hard at hits... He did get busted up a few times as well so next time, i'm sure he'll take it easy on them...Originally Posted by Great White
