    bayside landbased

Fished bayside land based spot x with mate dave trying some new area with good returns... was just using crappy bait shop bait and was expecting to get nothing... mate told me bout this new spot he seen a old man getting some squire at so i thaught i had beeter give it a try... fished with iqf white bait with with smallest 3sinker possible and 6 pd line... first two runs resulated in huge hook ups with line losed and resulted in getting bitten off both times.... just using 6pd i decided to upgrade to the good 20d shogun mono i managed to dig up in the take box to use as leader... my mate and i put the first 2 lost hooks to pike eels but yeah seeing a big spash on the second hookup we were still optermistic that fish x maybe the culprits... anyways after 20 mins or so i was into a good fish thatfelt solid a nice 42cm squire was landed... the fight seemed all to familure with both bite offs and i was like ****.. missed some ok fish then.. so yeah packed up after that with just my pb land based squire being landed.... fell down the rocks too on the way up leaving a nice trail of claret........................... anyways pic too come mate had mobile cam there... gonna fish the same areas tommorro with plastics.... heaps of fun

Dylan, that's the thing about land based fishing, you never expect a spot to fire like they do - that's the fun part about exploring and trying new spots i guess!

    Well done nonetheless!

I am going to invest in a blood hound to sniff out the place where he left the trail of claret behind and find this spot. Seriously, well done for getting a PB landbased squire. Top effort. Look forward to the pics.
