ok. land based try wallaby beach where the buffs cross..got my first barra there and at low tide walk out on rocks and fish the drop off.... oh did i forget to tell you
go large on gear and hang on or go light go thru a lot.also the rock around from drimmy head - watch the tides cause their 3m+ and don't forget everything on the land and water wants to eat you. the rocks on the point behind king billy's camp is good, try around catalina while your out at brimmies also used to be a track 1/2 way along on the Lhs that goes down to a ledge...only ever got golden trev's there.further afield deliwoi bay at the mouth of the creek and right along the ledge..... these all worked well in '80,'81 and if its only 50% as good it will still blow your mind. only wish i was back there myself.
