Just got back from Fraser yesterday afternoon where we had a ball.
We fished just south of Indian Head where Mrs Whynott caught the first fish of our stay. Not bad for a beginner as she caught a 62cm Tailor. And wasn't she happy.![]()

We caught a good feed and then we settled down to watch the entertainment of the backpackers trying to drive up the Indian Head cutting. It certainly is amazing that they think they can get up the cutting with the Troop Carrier fully loaded to the brim with passengers and gear with no momentium.
Over the next few days, we continued to catch tailor until the wind came up and the dreeded weed appeared.![]()

While the weed was around, we did the tourist thing and did a bit of site seeing. We saw heaps of whales putting on a show.
What a rip off for fuel, considering that coming home, it was $1.04 @ litre for unleaded at Cooroy. >>

Happy valley............ should be rip off valley
How good is the place, bloody nice tailor that one. Were they catching many off the rocks at Indian?
Cheers

Well we did not see any Tailor caught off the rocks, but apparently there were heaps caught. When we got up there they were only catching Dart. Looking forward to going up there again next year. We were going to go to Morton Island but might have to give it a miss till the year after i think.
Cheers

No doub the better half would be happy with the first tailor in the pic. reat stuff....pity about the fuel prices, the stinky backpackers and the overzealous rangers.
Cheers
