Re: Flathead clasic
Flathead Classic is over for another year and Greenie took it out again, out team was team ATOMIC and we ended 5th unfortunately had a bit of a shocker the last day. Trying to work and fish at the same time with 2 hours sleep a day doesnt go all that well. Still have to be happy with a 6th place in the overall standings.
Guys its pretty different when you put 120 boats all chasing flathead as well as the blokes out for the day socially in a fairly small area. A lot of the spots look good but dont seem to produce and the spots that do have to be able to sustain 3 days of solid pressure. Popular banks have 20 or more boats working them over and they still produce good fish . It would be pretty good to get out and have a go in next years Classic to experience the comeraderie and friendships that this event brings each year. It also gives you an idea of how much tougher it is to constantly get into good fish.
Many thanks to the guys that put it together and made it happen, in their own time, something that invariably puts a bit of strain on their fishing in the comp. I hope next year will be as good as this year and am looking forward to competing again.
Thanks
Roderick

Re: Flathead clasic
yes we did
but you'll have to wait till greenie has put in his atical
the sill part of the 98 was it was more like the magic 1000 mark but the boofhead who took the photo stuffed it.
the fish was bent and still went 98.
